Associate Attorney
Moen Sheehan Meyer, Ltd., an AV-rated law firm in La Crosse, seeks an Associate Attorney.  Candidates should have strong academic credentials, excellent writing skills and attention to detail, be highly motivated, and have the ability to meet tight deadlines. Font Desk Receptionist
The law firm of Moen Sheehan Meyer, Ltd is currently seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby area.
  • Perform data entry tasks with accuracy.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a front desk or receptionist role is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • A friendly demeanor, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential.

Financial/HR Manager

Moen Sheehan Meyer, Ltd is currently looking for a Full-Time Financial/HR Manager.

Responsibilities: 

Financial/Administrative

  • Plan, coordinate and direct the administrative functions of the firm,
  • Perform daily financial bookkeeping and preparing monthly/annual reports;
  • Perform client billing;
  • Serve as the primary liaison for contractors for the firm;
  • Coordinating and preparing for Partner meetings;
  • Organizes and maintains critical documents and contracts, including insurance, compliance/audit, and vendors, ensuring proper storage and adherence to retention guidelines.

Information Technology

  • Serves as primary IT troubleshooter and liaison for IT contractor;
  • Monitors and manages firm management systems (TABS, PM, GLS, APS, Trust);
  • Oversee and manage backups.

Human Resources

  • Interviewing and screening applicants for support staff positions;
  • Supervising the training of support staff;
  • Oversee benefits plans of the firm;
  • Manage timekeeping, payroll, and benefits of support staff;
  • Evaluating support staff, including consulting supervising attorneys;
  • Coordinating back-up/vacation schedules of support staff;
  • Counseling/discipline of support staff, as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Accounting;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Preferred understanding of integrated accounting packages;
  • Experience in computer network support and knowledge of legal terminology and law firm operations a benefit;
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate projects;
  • Detail oriented.
